本标准规定了对运输包装进行浸入试验时所用试验设备的主要性能要求、试验程序及试验报告的内容。本标准适用于评定运输包装件承受水浸害的能力及包装对内装物的保护能力。本标准可用于在进行其他各项试验之前的预处理试验。它既可以作为单项试验，也可在作为一系列试验的组成部分。
